We live in the most informed, least transformed generation in history.
You've read the books. Attended the rooms. Done the work.
So why does it feel like nothing has actually changed?
Arcos Studios designs experiences that change people.
We call ourselves creative architects — because we don't deliver content, we build worlds. Using the raw materials of story, art, challenge, and community, we design immersive narrative experiences that don't just move people emotionally — they move them forward.
For 35 years, David Arcos has been doing one thing: building worlds that change people.
David was a critical team leader in the founding of Mosaic. He helped build its creative and artistic culture under the leadership and vision of Erwin Raphael McManus, the Los Angeles-based movement named one of America's most influential churches, leading a colony of over 1,000 artists and leaders. Today he speaks and leads Men at Mosaic.
For two decades, David built one of the most prolific creative outputs in the country, leading dance companies, producing film festivals and fashion shows, writing six full-length plays, and designing and executing over 1,000 original works weekly: poetry, film, music, dance, sketch comedy, and visual art. He also led the restoration of the historic Rialto Theater in South Pasadena, a $2.5M project that returned a cultural landmark to life.
For 13 years, he designed and produced Terra Nova (New World), a 3-day immersive retreat that grew from 70 to nearly 1,000 artists and leaders worldwide. He carried that same methodology into conflict zones, building a hero society among Syrian refugee and Lebanese children. And built the Terra Nova model across the globe.
Most recently, David wrote and co-produced [Un]tethered, an immersive installation presented at NASA's Kennedy Space Center and the Boston Science Museum, a poetic exploration of humanity's relationship with Earth.
Throughout it all, David has traveled the world as a leader, creativity coach and speaker, working across the US, Africa, the Middle East, China, Europe, and beyond, helping artists, leaders, organizations, and communities build creative confidence and discover their original life.
What emerges from 35 years is a singular expertise, the architecture of human experience. How to build a world that changes the people who enter it. That is the work. That has always been the work.

A non-deviced journey toward your fierce imagination. Designed around touring the city, tasting its flavors, engaging in its beauty — and through five curated sessions, shifting the way you see yourself. For anyone feeling stuck. For anyone who hasn't met their own creativity yet.
Three ways to bring David's work into your world — each shaped by the same conviction: people change through experience, not information.
Within the Arcos Identity Lab lies a life ARC. When you combine narrative with real life obstacles — and experience breakthrough inside a concentrated, immersive space — you don't just absorb a new idea.
You live through a character arc. You leave different.
A human video game. David's opus. The lab of human imagination taken further than it's ever gone.
